Experiment preparation

Material preparation: Prepare a number of standard size 18650 cylindrical lithium battery semi-finished products, including the anode and cathode plate coating, winding process has been completed, but no pole ears installed cell.

Tools: In addition to the pole ear rotary kneading machine, prepare auxiliary tools such as welding equipment and insulation tester.

Environment preparation: Ensure that the operation area is clean and dust-free, and the temperature and humidity meet the process requirements.

Experimental procedure

Pole ear welding: First, the pre-cut pole ear is firmly welded to the fluid collector at both ends of the cell by ultrasonic or laser welding technology.

Preliminary inspection: Use an optical microscope to check whether the welding points are flat and confirm that there are no bad phenomena such as virtual welding and short circuit.

Polar ear rotary kneading:

Place the electrode core welded to the pole ear on the work table of the pole ear rotary kneading machine to ensure that the pole ear position is correct and parallel to the machine axis.

Turn on the machine and set the appropriate speed and pressure parameters. According to actual needs, small batch trial run can be carried out first, adjusted to the best state and then formally put into production.

In the process of machine operation, the pole ear will gradually flatten and closely fit to the surface of the cell under the action of rotating force, so as to achieve uniform distribution and leveling of the pole ear.

Quality inspection: After the treatment is completed, the insulation tester is used to test the insulation performance of each cell to ensure that there is no risk of short circuit caused by improper operation.

Performance test: Randomly select some samples for charge and discharge test, record relevant data, and analyze the change of battery performance before and after the pole ear rotary kneading treatment.
